Break your build project into stages

Put together a simple project schedule using a spreadsheet to plan each stage of your build. Mark off the completed tasks and circulate the updated schedule between your subcontractors, as your project progresses. If your subcontractors clearly understand the progress on site, you may find that they will plan ahead making themselves available to work on your project when you need them.
